ABOUT ME
I am an ethnocommunicologist who has taught in various institutions including the University of Ibadan where i received my academic training over a period of fifteen years from the bachelors degree through masters and doctorate between 1972 and 1987. I have taught at the defunct College of Technology later renamed The Polytechnic, Calabar, which was transformed to Cross River State University, The University of Calabar and University of Cross River State, Uyo which was renamed The University of Uyo, Uyo. I have published widely in local and international journals and also authored and edited several books. I was the first president of ESOP Nta Ifiok Akwa Ibom (the Akwa Ibom Think Tank).
I am the current editor-in-chief of the ASUU magazine, The National Scholar, and the Jourrnal of Media and Aesthetics. I am the former Human Rights Education Coordinator in Nigeria for Amnesty International and a former National Coordinator for The African Council for Communication Education (ACCE). I have consulted for UNICEF, UNDP and ExxonMobil among others and have also been a beneficiary of many national, international and local awards including being recognised in the International Biographical Centre as being one of the world's Who-is-Who in world scholarship and consequently being made an honorary board member of the Centre. I am married with two children.
